NI Taxi Exhibition, Belfast

New show, for one day only...

The 26th of February 2008 brought the new NI Taxi taxi and PHV show to the King's Hall in Belfast.

Being a new event, we did not know what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised by the turnout. New taxi meter regulations are in the planning stages in Northern Ireland, and drivers, taxi associations, and fleet operators were keen to get up to date on the latest metering technology available to them when the time comes to make the required changes.

Visitors were interested in Aquila's two DOE approved meters, the T2 and T-Tiny, each with their own individual benefits, including an interface to receipt printers, which may be required at a later date.

Aquila was exhibiting with its Belfast partner, Airphone Communications Limited. For taximeter enquiries in the Belfast area, Airphone can be contacted on: 02890 662266.

For Aquila, a show in Northern Ireland means a sea voyage and an extended stay, so we took the opportunity to explore Belfast - by running round it! Then on for a little sight-seeing, unfortunately in the pouring rain.
