How do Taximeters Work? Our article on this subject should answer this.
Q: How do you reset the totals on a T2 or T2D? A: Hold down EXTRAS and press BACK. You can download a supplementary support note from the manuals page. Q: How do you reset the totals on an AQ2000? A: Hold down "EXTRAS" and press "BACK" - See Page 12 of the latest AQ2000 manual Q: My meter's running slow on distance. What could be the cause? A1: Assuming that the correct tariff is installed, and a pulse signal is reaching the taximeter from the vehicle, the most likely cause is an incorrect calibration. Dealers are unlikely to miss this point, but it is possible that the calibration number is correct, but the units of measurement are not. The AQ2000 and T2's calibrations can both be set to either pulses/mile or pulses/km. The most common cause of "meter running slow" queries which reach us, is that the calibration is set to pulses per kilometre when it should be pulses per mile. You can check the calibration settings from the info menus of the AQ2000 and T2. See the manuals for details. A2: The calibration of the taximeter can also
be affected if there have been changes to the final drive of the vehicle,
including different size wheels or tyres. Buttons Q: Why don't the buttons light up on Aquila taximeters? A: See the T2!
A: Thermal paper with the following specification should be used: * Roll width 57.5mm +/- 1mm
