Team Taxi Marathon Challenge

We're half way there...

The "Team Taxi" challenge (more here) has reached the half way point, following the completion, by Maurice and Pauline, of the Paris Marathon on 5th April.

Team Taxi in Paris

Maurice and Pauline (with some of their supporters!) in Paris

There were over 30,000 competitors in the race and this, together with the thousands of supporters and entertainment along the route, helped to motivate the Team through the morning. The conditions for the race turned out to be almost ideal, a cool but sunny day.

The runners only have minor ailments to report following the 26 mile event, including a few broken toenails and stiff legs, which shows that the training plans they've been following actually do work!

Following a few days' rest, Maurice is now back in training with Greg, for the Edinburgh Marathon on 31st May.

There is still time to help the Team in their support of the three taxi charities! The charities have been carefully chosen to ensure that as much of the donated money as possible is used directly to help underprivileged children.

The Good Causes:

The three charities are each operated by members of the taxi trade, and provide outings and support for underprivileged and Special Needs children all over the UK

Please give generously: all of your donations will go directly to the organisations you specify. If you can, take some time to look at the fabulous work they do on their web-sites.
